10-13 June 2026, usha's classes at our shala
We are happy to host Usha Rani Chittor at Patanjali Yoga Shala in Zürich.
During these days, Usha will teach Mysore-style classes in two morning shifts, as well as a Led Primary Series in two shifts - followed by a conference and Q&A, held in memory of Guruji Sharath Jois.
The program follows the traditional Mysore method and is open to all levels - from complete beginners to experienced practitioners.
Dates: 10–13 June 2026
Location: Patanjali Yoga Shala, Erlachstrasse 26, 8003 Zürich
Usha Rani Chittor was born and raised in a traditional priest family in South India. She spent several formative years living in a gurukula and ashram environment, where she was introduced to yoga and Vedic tradition.
She later moved to Mysore to study Ashtanga Yoga, practicing in the presence of K. Pattabhi Jois and continuing under the guidance of Sharath Jois. She worked closely with him for many years as both assistant and secretary, and was deeply involved in the daily teaching environment of the shala.
Usha is an Authorized Ashtanga Yoga teacher and continues her studies in Vedic chanting and philosophy.
